A regular session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis was held.

During the session, in its first reading, deputies considered a draft law aimed at further improving state control and governance in the field of ensuring seismic resistance and seismic safety of buildings and structures.

As noted, consistent measures are being implemented in the country to prevent illegal construction, meet the population’s housing needs, and reduce violations in the field of urban planning.

At the same time, ongoing cases of unauthorized construction of residential buildings without permits from competent authorities, as well as incomplete compliance with seismic safety requirements at certain facilities, necessitate strengthening state management in this area.

The draft law предусматривает stricter liability for the unauthorized construction of multi-apartment residential buildings. In particular, relevant amendments are proposed to the Code of Administrative Responsibility to establish administrative liability for such violations. Additionally, criminal liability is proposed in cases where the offense is committed repeatedly.
